The Freedom Pet Care Services team
All of our staff are mature, experienced professionals with years of experience training and caring for a vast range of pets.
We all love what we do, and work together as a team, combining our knowledge and strengths to offer you the best possible service and value for money.
Deb & Pam (Pet Care Directors)
We both grew up in the country, with a vast range of pets & livestock, and have extensive experience of caring for animals, from guinea pigs to horses. We have a natural affinity with animals and absolutely love what we do. Our own pet family comprises four standard poodles and a rescued cat who is in charge of the household.
Deb specialises in dog training and behaviour and group dog walking. Deb has worked in boarding kennels and equestrian yards in the past, and ran her own dog grooming studio (in which the dogs were never caged unless absolutely necessary). She has helped with and run many training classes over the years, and now specialises in 1-2-1 work, and in particular is passionate about helping rescue dogs settle in their new home.
Deb has a diploma in canine psychology (distinction) and a canine first aid certificate and is a qualified behaviourist with the International School for Canine Psychology and Behaviour.
Pam is involved in all areas of the business and provides management support for all of the team. A keen photographer she is often seen out on the walks hiding in the trees trying to capture the special moments our customers love to see.
Pam holds a canine first aid certificate and a diploma in canine behaviour training.
Deb and Pam are also proud to be involved in the Pets as Therapy (PAT) charity and Pet Blood Donors UK via Lichfield’s Pool House veterinary surgery.
Les (Pet Services Team Leader)
Les is indulging her passion for pets following 30 years as a primary school teacher. She has experience in every aspect of the business, and takes over the day to day running of the business regularly if Deb and Pam are away or just taking a day off. Her terrier torrorist, Scally, taught her a lot about dominant dogs! Les holds a canine first aid certificate and regularly contributes to a local dog rescue centre.
Catherine (Pet Sitter)
Catherine has been pet sitting for many years both for her own contacts and for various agencies. We were delighted when she agreed to join our team, and she now carries out much of our pet sitting work. Semi-retired from the pub trade, she spends more time living in client’s homes than she does her own – and gets her much loved ‘fix’ of different pets. Over the last 5 years she has looked after countless pets for our clients, and is always highly recommended.
Zoe (Team Worker)
Zoe has worked in animal care since leaving school. She worked as yard manger in a private horse yard. A keen horse rider, she a real outdoors person. Zoe has young family and has taken this opportunity to work around those comments and do a job she loves. She will be working with dogs both on and off lead on solo and group walks.
Mike (Team Worker)
Mike joined us in 2015, he has a lovely calm approach to the pets in his care. Mike carries out solo and group dog walking, and all the dogs adore him.
